A handsome late-Victorian open-arm armchair, dating from circa 1890–1910 and newly upholstered in beautifully soft Abraham Moon plaid-check wool.
The chair features a tall, gently shaped back, a generously sprung seat and upholstered armrests, all complemented by an elegant dark-stained hardwood frame.
Turned front legs, delicate spindle detailing and original-style castors lend the piece a wonderfully refined silhouette.
The warm neutral plaid is woven with soft blue, green and ochre tones, giving this traditional antique chair a fresh and highly versatile appearance.
Perfect beside a fireplace, in a bedroom or as a characterful occasional chair.
The wooden frame displays the minor marks and tonal variation expected from an antique piece, adding to its authentic charm. Please refer to our photographs for an accurate representation of its condition.

A good seller with access to exceptionally high quality furniture wiling to negotiate mutually beneficial arrangements on their stock. I must say I was disappointed on delivery, as I was left three weeks with no messages or notifications. However when delivery was scheduled it was attended by two individuals who delivered to a third floor without quibble. Furthermore, this is luxury furniture at a discount, so in the round, a positive experience, and I both recommend and would buy again .
