Antique Edwardian Open-Arm Armchair in Oxblood Leather
A handsome antique open-arm armchair dating from the Edwardian period, circa 1900–1910.
The chair features a generously buttoned back upholstered in rich oxblood leather, complemented by a broad leather seat, shaped timber arms and a traditionally constructed solid-wood frame.
Brass stud detailing follows the upholstery, adding to its wonderfully distinguished appearance.
The leather displays the natural patina, tonal variation and age-related wear expected from a chair of this period.
These honest signs of use give the piece tremendous character and should be carefully reviewed in the accompanying photographs.
A wonderfully atmospheric chair for a library, study or fireside corner, offering all the warmth and presence of a true English antique.
As an antique piece, an original retail price is unavailable, but the equivalent piece manufactured to the same standard by George Smith/Ralph Lauren/Et al leather using comparable traditional materials and upholstery techniques would cost approximately £4000–£6000 today, so this represents spectacular, unmissable value-for money in comparison.

A good seller with access to exceptionally high quality furniture wiling to negotiate mutually beneficial arrangements on their stock. I must say I was disappointed on delivery, as I was left three weeks with no messages or notifications. However when delivery was scheduled it was attended by two individuals who delivered to a third floor without quibble. Furthermore, this is luxury furniture at a discount, so in the round, a positive experience, and I both recommend and would buy again .
