Knoll Studio “Platner 54” Dining / Office Table in Carrara Marble
A true design icon, this Knoll Studio “Platner” table is a masterclass in clean lines, timeless proportion, and enduring sophistication.
Finished with a stunning Carrara marble top, it offers the perfect balance of architectural simplicity and luxurious materiality.
The elegant round top showcases the natural beauty of the Carrara marble, with dramatic veining and tonal variation ensuring every piece is entirely unique. Its sculptural presence is beautifully complemented by the striking, iconic base, creating a look that feels both refined and effortlessly modern.
Designed with remarkable versatility, this piece works equally well as a dining table, executive desk, meeting table, or statement centrepiece within a contemporary interior.
The generous proportions provide practicality for everyday use, while the unmistakable Platner aesthetic brings instant pedigree to any setting. Warren Platner's designs remain among the most celebrated of the twentieth century, admired for their disciplined elegance and ability to sit seamlessly in both residential and commercial spaces.
This is furniture that never dates.
This table is in superb, impeccably-maintained condition, having seen light, regular use in its previous home (as you would expect) but, equally, is not perfect.
Its hugely handsome order reflects the TLC and considerate use afforded it in the past but it does possess a single, small, barely-visible ding to an edge (illustrated in the penultimate image provided) which, whilst of almost no consequence, is mentioned purely for the purposes of accuracy.
As you would think normal when considering the nature and colour of this particular marble, it does possess the bare-minimum of barely-visible and largely-inconsequential surface marks on the polished-top and edges (as you might consider normal).
Beautifully-original and authentic as it is, it possesses an unmistakable beauty. For the avoidance of doubt, please view the numerous images provided to confirm the superb condition and appearance of this gem.
Clearly not in truly-perfect condition, but a true classic of modern furniture design presented in as good-condition as you are likely to find.
Whilst it could not be considered pristine due to the reasons stated above, it is certain to meet the requirements of all but the most-particular and true-perfectionist of buyers and, for someone looking for a piece of peerless design and execution to position at the heart of their home, it is truly heaven sent!
Without question, this superb table possesses all the beauty and majesty you would expect from one of the finest contemporary manufacturers in the world.
Dimensions-wise, the measurements of the table are H-72cm, W-138cm and D-138cm and, costing in excess of £8500 when new, it represents spectacular value for money, and we have no doubt it will serve and delight its new owner for many years to come.

Impeccable Huge Leolux “Pupilla” 2.5-Seat Sofa in Brown Leather
Communication was outstanding, delivery was incredibly quick and professional and the chair I purchased exquisite and exactly as described. Very happy indeed with every aspect. In these days of electronic communication, true customer service is often lost, but it shone through in this case. Superb.

Molteni & C "Reversi" 2.5-Seat Sofa - In Blue Woven Linen
What a joy! This seller is amazing. Lovely and communicative and sells the most beautiful mid-century/modern high end furniture at a fair price. Highly recommended and trustworthy.
Great item with friendly service & once delivery had been organised was very efficient & well organised.
Thank you so much for a smooth transaction, convenient delivery and great communication.
Delighted with the BRNO chairs which are exactly as described and in exceptionally beautiful condition. Communication was prompt and delivery perfect. A fantastic company to deal with and highly recommended.
Fantastic seller. Considerate. Packaging good. Alistair, the delivery guy, very very good. Described exactly as it was. Highly recommended.
A good seller with access to exceptionally high quality furniture wiling to negotiate mutually beneficial arrangements on their stock. I must say I was disappointed on delivery, as I was left three weeks with no messages or notifications. However when delivery was scheduled it was attended by two individuals who delivered to a third floor without quibble. Furthermore, this is luxury furniture at a discount, so in the round, a positive experience, and I both recommend and would buy again .
